Metalum had a successful 3oth anniversary celebration on 22^nd December 2006.

It was a bang with a lot of funfair.

The chairman of Metalum, Mr. T.A Braithwaite chaired the well attended occasion.

Mrs R.A. Braithwaite- GMD Metalum and former State Counsel in the Federal Ministry of Justice and  Lagos State Ministry of Justice  Principal State Counsel in 1968- as the mother of the day, warmly received all the children, dancing hugging and pampering them.

The Group Executive Director- Mr. Des Braithwaite, Group Chief Accountant- Mr. AG Dairo, Executive Director (Technical)- Mr. Dapo Oguntade, Executive Director (Projects)- Mr. Olugbo Braithwaite and all managers were in attendance with their lovely families.

Opening speech was read by the CEO, Mr. Deissel- a Swiss national, who congratulated Metalum and Nigeria on the existing democracy. Said there has been a lot of improvement for both Metalum and Nigeria since 1999 and there is room for further improvement.

Gifts of various degrees were doled out to deserving members of staff, contractors, architects, sister companies, etc

All in attendance enjoyed meals of different courses and drinks of their choice. Dance dance, dance.

The children had a separate part of the celebration to themselves with attending DJ, Santa Claus, and Caterer.

Prayers were offered in closing to launch Metalum into the next 30 years and more.
